Context and problem
Landlords and tenants needed to find each other, book and talk without leaving the app. It is a pre-launch PWA, so it had to work well on a phone.
My role and scope
I built the complete frontend: the architecture, state management, API integration and 25+ screens, including real-time messaging.
How it works
- Access. Email and password, Google sign-in, sign-up and guest entry to explore without an account.
- Search. Properties with filters, detail pages and property listing.
- Host dashboard. Weekly summary, properties, requests, payments and messages in tabs. It shows how many properties are published against the plan limit and whether the account is verified.
- Two languages. The whole interface switches between Spanish and English from the header.
- Account. Profile, payment methods, language, support and policies.

Technical decisions
- Global state with Redux Toolkit and routing with React Router.
- REST API with Axios. I integrated 50+ endpoints across both PWAs, with JWT authentication and protected routes.
- Chat over WebSockets for real-time messaging between landlord and tenant.
- Responsive, mobile-first interface with Material UI and Tailwind CSS.
- Testing. Vitest and React Testing Library for components and integration, and end-to-end Playwright tests for login, sign-up, search, bookings and profile updates.
Outcome
I delivered the complete frontend of the PWA, ready for its pre-launch phase: 25+ screens, real-time messaging and the key flows covered by end-to-end tests.
